According to Alan Watts, there are two personality types in this world.
Watch this lovely short video first:
It’s interesting to think about where we are along this line from Prickles to Goo.
Somebody can say, for instance, “my Mom is 90% Goo and my Dad is 90% Prickles, and as for myself, right now I guess, I’m about 75% Prickles and only 25% Goo.”
But it’s not only about where we are now, it’s also about where we’re going.
We might have been moving slowly or fast more and more to the Goo or to the Prickles side. Also, we can think about ourselves that we are more Goo while all the other people are assured that we are complete Prickles.
Wouldn’t it be fun to try and tag yourself?
- If you are stable, tag yourself somewhere along the straight line going from Prickles to Goo (according to what you’re closer to).
- If you are evolving, tag yourself on one of the arrows (one going from Prickles to Goo and the other from Goo to Prickles).
As you’re tagging yourself (and maybe your friends) though, don’t forget that as Alan Watts said, it all depends on the level of magnification.
